Paratroopers of the 79th Air Assault Brigade repelled a Russian assault and destroyed one tank and two armored personnel carriers in southern Ukraine.

The press service of the brigade reported on this.

“During the assault, our soldiers burned one tank and two armored personnel carriers with infantry,” the brigade stated, adding that despite the invaders who miraculously survived, Ukrainian drone operators skillfully neutralized the remaining threat.

The published footage shows Russian infantrymen taking up positions, after which they are immediately targeted by weapons.

The Russian armored vehicles, despite the presence of anti-drone “grills,” were destroyed with the help of precise drops of ammunition into the hatches.

Russian infantrymen retreating across an open field were attacked by artillery and shelling.

Militarnyi reported on April 15, 2024 that paratroopers of the 79th Air Assault Brigade demonstrated another repulsion of a Russian assault near Novomykhailivka.

For this, two Russian armored personnel carriers with infantry and full ammunition were thrown into a suicide attack on the positions of Ukrainian defenders.

The brigade notes that the enemy attack was swift, but due to the lack of engineering preparation for the assault, Russian armored personnel carriers exploded on mines before reaching the positions.

At the end of March, it was reported that soldiers of the 79th Air Assault Brigade destroyed an enemy platoon with ammunition from a drone before the battle began.

It is noted that the enemy tried to organize an assault on the positions of Ukrainian defenders, but was quickly detected by an aerial reconnaissance unit.

The brigade’s press service notes that the Russian troops were defeated 2 hours before the battle began.

Finally, the 79th Brigade’s drones started dropping ammunition on the enemy’s remnants, killing 29 Russian soldiers.
