The Ukrainian Armor Company has fully resumed production and already delivered more than 600 mortars to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The news was announced by the press service of the Ukrainian Armor company on its social media.

“Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, some of our production facilities in the east of the country have been captured by the enemy. We have found a way to restore production cycles, conduct qualification tests and launch 60 mm, 82 mm and 120 mm mortars on reloaded sites,” said Vladyslav Belbas, CEO of Ukrainian Armored Vehicles.

To date, the company has successfully restored and significantly increased, compared to the pre-war period, the volume of mortar production. It produces 120mm MP-120, 82mm UPIK-82 and 60mm MP-60 mortars.

“We supply these products to various security agencies, both for state funding and for the funds of volunteer organizations,” says Vladyslav Belbas.

As previously reported, the MP-120 mortar was adopted by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine a month before the Russian invasion in January 2022. It partially replaced the infamous М120-15 Molot mortars.

In addition to supplying weapons, the company is also engaged in the production of ammunition for it in cooperation with several foreign manufacturers.

Thus, in August of this year, Ukrainian Armor Company announced the establishment of the production of 120mm mortar rounds. The message was about sending thousands of such ammunition to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The company also produces mortar rounds for 60mm mortars under the UB60 index. They are supplied in the form of separate tubes, in the middle of which there is a loaded round with a powder charge and a fuse.

In addition to mortar rounds, the company also manufactures 122mm rounds for Soviet D-30 howitzers, as well as S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers.

At the end of August 2023, the press service of the company announced the sending of the first batch of such shells to the Ukrainian military, numbering thousands of rounds.

It should be noted that before the full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian Armor Company became famous for its Varta and Novator armored vehicles, most of which came into service with the Ukrainian National Guard.
