The Militarnyi informs about it.
During the past 24hrs, on March 26, in the Mykolaiv region, air defense units of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down three cruise missiles fired by the Russian occupiers, the Ukrainian Air Assault Force Command reported.
“Russian cruise missiles, which killed many Ukrainians, were successfully shot down by paratroopers from portable anti-aircraft missile systems,” the press service of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces said.
It was noted that during the large-scale armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine, the air defense units of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down about two dozen units of enemy air targets.
“These are planes, helicopters, cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. We continue to work!” the Air Assault Force Command summed up.
As reported earlier, the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine defeated the occupiers in the southern direction.
Lviv paratroopers eliminated rashists from the 126th Coastal Defense Brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
This military unit is based in the occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea in the village Perevalnye. Prior to the occupation, it was a permanent location of the 36th Separate Coast Guard Brigade of the Ukrainian Navy.
In March 2014, during the illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia, some servicemen of the 36th Brigade swore an oath to the Ukrainian people and remained in the occupied territories, continuing to serve in the Russian army in the 126th Brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
The paratroopers also eliminated a group of Russian motorized infantry who were to conduct reconnaissance and adjust artillery fire.
In addition to the damaged Russian BTR-82A armored personnel carrier, the Ukrainian military managed to seize special equipment for reconnaissance and adjustment of artillery fire and aircraft guidance.
