The Ukrainian servicemen have shown for the first time their training with Wolfhound armored vehicles provided by the United Kingdom.

The video footage of the training was published on social media.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine receive various weapons and military equipment as military aid from Western countries to resist Russian invaders.

In particular, the Ukrainian servicemen received Wolfhound armored vehicles from the United Kingdom.

A video featuring one of the Armed Forces of Ukraine trainings with these wheeled armored tactical support cars was posted online. The footage shows armored cars being used at one of the training grounds.

The Wolfhound armored vehicles supplied to Ukraine are armed with 12.7-mm Browning M2 large-caliber machine guns. These armored cars are designed to transport cargo and military personnel in the combat zone.

Wolfhound

Wolfhound is a 6×6 heavy-armored truck. It is used to accompany the front-line patrols, transport ammunition, and carry essential combat supplies. It can be armed with machine guns of various calibers.

As previously reported, Ukrainian defenders are already undergoing training in the UK, learning how to use the armored vehicles that would be delivered to Ukraine. Among the 120 armored vehicles are 80 Mastiff, Husky and Wolfhound protected mobility vehicles.

The Mastiff (6×6) protected patrol vehicle is a kind of MRAP Cougar HE adapted to the British Army requirements. It is designed to transport infantry, as well as protect against small arms, land mines, and homemade explosive devices.

The vehicle has the capacity to transport eight servicemen and two crew members. Mastiff has a maximum speed of 90 kph and could be armed with machine guns ranging from 7.62mm to 12.7mm, or a 40mm automatic grenade launcher.

Husky VMMD

Husky is a special vehicle for detecting explosives and demining activities. The vehicle is designed to prevent cabin destruction in case of a blast, and dispose of the variable components instead.

FV103 Spartan

The other 40 vehicles are used for combat reconnaissance, including the Spartan, which can transport up to four soldiers plus a crew of three, Samaritan ambulances, Sultan armored command vehicles, and Samson armored recovery vehicles.
