The Russian invasion forces did not eliminate any HIMARS missile launchers in Ukraine.

According to the website of the Department of Defense of the United States, this was stated by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States General Mark Milley.

“To date, the HIMARS that we have provided Ukraine – and we’re not the only country, by the way, other countries are providing long-range fires as well. Great Britain, for example, and some others are donating long-range rocket artillery,” the General said.

He emphasized that none of those systems have been eliminated by the Russians.

According to Milley, the Ukrainians effectively employ HIMARS, striking Russian command and control posts, logistical networks, field artillery near defense sites, and many other targets.

These strikes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are steadily degrading the Russian ability to supply their troops, command and control of their forces, and carry out their illegal war.

According to Milley, the fact that the Ukrainians were able to quickly deploy the HIMARS systems speaks highly of their ability, ingenuity, artillery ability, gunner capability, determination, and will to fight.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine will soon have a total of 16 American М142 HIMARS MLRS.

In addition, Ukraine has already received a certain number of similar systems – MLRS M270 on a tracked chassis.

The US is also committing to sending more ammunition to MLRS, high-precision artillery ammunition and tactical vehicles, as well as other urgently needed support.

M142 HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) uses a 6-wheel chassis of an M1140 FMTV tactical truck.

The system can be used as a rocket launcher with ammunition of different ranges and as a tactical missile system.
