The Russian invaders have lost their modern Su-35 fighter.

The downing of the Russian aircraft was confirmed by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is a Russian fourth generation multirole fighter.

The incident occurred in the evening of May 21 over the Black Sea off the coast of Ukraine.

The cause of the loss of the combat fighter by the Russians is now being investigated.

On Monday, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that at the end of the day on May 21 in the territorial waters of Ukraine in the Kherson region, a Russian Su-35 fighter was subjected to a “negative take-off”.

Subsequently, Air Force spokesman Yurii Ignat said the following:

“We did not specify that the Air Force destroyed (Su-35 – ed.) It “suffered a negative take-off”. The circumstances: what happened to the plane, as well as to those in the north recently, are being specified.

We will observe and listen to what the occupiers report. Maybe the Russian air defense, the one in Crimea, worked again. It is unknown, let’s wait,” Ignat said on Monday’s telethon.

The night before, the information appeared on the network that over the Black Sea near Zaliznyi Port a Russian Su-35 fighter that was supposed to bombard the Kherson region was shot down.

A video of the flashes in the sky similar to the operation of air defense and the defeat of an aircraft was also published.

Russian invasion forces have been using Su-35 combat aircraft in a full-scale aggression against Ukraine that began in February 2022. Su-35s fighters carry out round-the-clock patrols of airspace to counter Ukrainian aviation, perform air defense suppression tasks with anti-radiation missiles, and launch missile attacks at the frontline regions with long-range high-precision Kh-59/М/М2/МК/МК2 missiles.
