Ukrainian-made self-propelled guns 2S22 Bohdana moved on the Tatra T815-7 chassis with the wheel formula 8×8.

The upgraded ACS appeared in the Ukrainian 1+1 TV channel report, which the 1st Special Purpose Brigade published on its Facebook page.

The artillery installation on the new chassis is in service with the 1st Special Purpose Brigade, named after Ivan Bohun.

The concept of the 2S22 Bohdana self-propelled guns on the Tatra T815-7 chassis with an armored cab was presented at the IDEX-2023 exhibition in Abu Dhabi.

This concept is usually called “Bohdana 3.0,” and the version on the MAZ-6317 chassis — “Bohdana 2.0.”

This chassis is used on the Ukrainian Bureviy MLRS and the Neptune coastal anti-ship complex.

In addition, these chassis are used with CAESAR and ATMOS self-propelled guns.

The Brigade is armed with Bohdana on the MAZ-6317 chassis with an armored cab from Ukrainian Armor LLC.

The soldiers of the brigade told the journalists about their experience operating the Bohdana; they particularly highlighted the cabin’s unsuitability for long trips as a shortcoming.

“The cabin for long trips is not provided, with their seats and everything else. However, from the point of view of safety, everything was done there so that when the vehicle was blown up on a mine, the crew survived. It is armored, with special seats,” said the Brigade soldiers.

The Bohdana on MAZ-6317 chassis was also seen in service with the 57th Motorized Brigade.

The updated 2S22 Bohdana still does not have a loading gear; 155mm rounds weighing an average of 40 kilograms are loaded manually into the breech part of the barrel.

On the new versions of the ACS, a loading gear remote control was seen, which may indicate the possibility of its integration in the future.
