Artillery hits the deployment position of Russian self-propelled guns in Donetsk

Ukrainian gunners hit the deployment position of Russian self-propelled howitzers in Donetsk.

The servicemen released the footage of the combat mission in the “Operativnyi ZSU” Telegram group.

Two Soviet-made 2S1 Gvozdika 122mm self-propelled howitzers were hit.

Some analysts suggest that the strike might have been launched from the American HIMARS or М270 systems.

Both of these American systems use GMLRS missiles, capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 80 kilometers.

The Pentagon also promised to provide Ukraine with GLSDB missiles for these MLRS, which could hit targets at a distance of 150 km.

It is worth noting that in the course of hostilities, the Armed Forces also used Ukrainian Vilha precision missiles, which are also capable of hitting targets at a long distance.

The deployment position of Russian self-propelled installations was hit in the Kuibyshev district in Donetsk.

The 2S1 Gvozdika units can hit targets at a distance of about 15 kilometers.

Gvozdika was developed on the basis of an MT-LB multi-purpose armored tractor. Its support rollers are made of aluminum alloy. The ACS has a sealed body and overcomes water obstacles.

The Ukrainian military also uses the 2S1 Gvozdika, transferred to Ukraine from Poland.

Ukrainian gunners use Pakistani and Polish 122mm shells with the howitzers.
