In the Kharkiv region, the Armed Forces liberated the settlement of Verkhnia Rohanka

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to reclaim control of settlements on the outskirts of Kharkiv.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informs about this.

As a result of the offensive operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have reclaimed control over the settlement of Verkhnia Rohanka.

Also, in the Kharkiv region, the settlements of Ruska Lozova, Slobidske, and Prylesne were recently liberated.

The settlement of Verkhnia Rohanka is located near the source of the river Rohanka, the village of Sorokivka is located downstream at a distance of 3 km.

Russian troops continue to concentrate their forces and resources both in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kharkiv region and in Russia’s Belgorod region, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the state border with Ukraine.

In particular, the Russian invaders moved the units of the 55th Independent Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 41st Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District to Volokhiv Yar, and the units of the 5th Independent Tank Brigade of the 36th Combined Arms Army of the Eastern Military District to Izium.

Previously, on the night of April 30, Russian troops continued shelling Kharkiv, in particular the eastern residential areas of Saltivka and Northern Saltivka. One person was injured.

“Over the past day, the Russian occupation forces conducted only three artillery shellings in Kharkiv. This is thanks to our Ukrainian Armed Forces, which are having combat successes,” said Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Military Administration.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the enemy launched another attack on a residential neighborhood, hospital, and industrial zone of the Nemyshlianskyi district of Kharkiv.

Resulting of the enemy attack, the apartments of two nine-storey apartment blocks caught fire. The owner of one of the apartments was injured in the shelling. He was hospitalized.

In addition, the building of a Kharkiv medical institution was damaged. In particular, resulting from the shelling, the concrete structures and window frames of a technical floor were partially destroyed, and a fire broke out on the 5th floor.
