Satellite images of the strike at the 711th Aircraft Repair Plant in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh region of the Russian Federation, have been posted online.

The Schemes project released the pictures.

Satellite imagery from April 9, 2024, shows that the drone was aimed at one of the aircraft plant buildings.

As a result of the powerful explosion, the building’s roof and partially its walls collapsed, making the premises unusable.

It should be noted that the plant is located 300 kilometers from the border with Ukraine and is used to repair both aircraft and aviation weapons of various classes.

As previously reported, on the night of April 9, 2024, the 711th aircraft repair plant was attacked by drones.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the attack was successfully repelled by air defense, and the consequences were minor.

According to the satellite images, the drones managed to get to the location and caused severe damage to one of the aircraft plant’s buildings.

Since the beginning of 2024, Ukraine has increasingly started targeting oil refining infrastructure, military airfields, and aircraft plants whose products are used in the war against Ukraine.

On April 4, 2024, Militarnyi reported that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced a mass drone attack on the Morozovsk military airfield, where fighter-bombers that strike Ukraine are based.

The drone attack took place on the night of April 4-5. The first explosions occurred around midnight local time.

Vasily Golubev, governor of the Russian region, claimed that the military airfield, located near the city of Morozovsk in the Rostov region, had been attacked by more than 40 drones.
