The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed the Russian BMPT Terminator for the first time
The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the Russian Terminator Tank Support Fighting Vehicle.
Serhiy Haidai, Head of the Lugansk Regional Military Administration, reported this.
According to him, Russian armored vehicles were neutralized in the forests near Kreminna.
“Recently, “orcs” in their main TV propaganda rally boasted a tank support combat vehicle with the loud name “Terminator.” So many beautiful words about the vehicle that is almost impossible to destroy…. almost. The photo from the Luhansk defenders captured the “Terminator” from the ruscist video, the very unit that the propagandist praised so much,” the Head of the Luhansk Region shared.
Haidai published three photos capturing an intact BMPT “Terminator” in the lens of the UAV camera, the moment after the defeat and ignition, and the vehicle engulfed in flames.
BMPT “Terminator” is the multi-purpose protected combat tracked fire support vehicle. The combat vehicle is able to withstand lightly armored targets, tanks, IFVs, and helicopters. The BMPT is armed with two 30mm guns, a heavy machine gun, and the Ataka-T ATGM. Its crew consists of five people.
In general, the transfer of only eight units of this type of armored vehicle to the 90th Panzer Division is reported. This occurred in 2020, and the contract to produce 12 units with the Uralvagonzavod enterprise was signed back in 2017.
