The government of the UK announced the transfer of a new air defense package to Ukraine.

The government said that the air defense package will be worth £92 million (€107.5 million).

The air defense package is being provided through the International Fund for Ukraine, in which the UK is investing an additional £250 million.

As reported, “the package will provide radars to help protect from indiscriminate Russian strikes as well as guns and a significant amount of ammunition.”

The equipment will be procured in the coming months through the International Fund for Ukraine (IFU) to bolster Ukraine’s ability “to protect its critical national infrastructure, civilian population, and front-line personnel.”

The International Fund for Ukraine (IFU) uses financial contributions from international partners to procure priority military assistance for Ukraine. More than £520 million has been raised through the IFU following contributions from the UK, Norway, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland and Lithuania.

As previously reported, Norway, together with the UK, will transfer eight missile launchers and three ARTHUR artillery reconnaissance radars to Ukraine.

Recently, it became known that repair, refurbishment, and supply of spares for the Tunguska air defense system were ordered for Ukraine through this fund.

This air defence system is designed to protect against air attacks, primarily helicopters.

The tender included engines and tracks for infantry fighting vehicles and MT-LB armored fighting vehicles.

Mobile forward repair modules should also be purchased for Ukraine through the International Fund.

As previously reported, Ukrainian volunteers are actively implementing a project to create mobile repair stations for the military using Leyland DAF. A similar project is also being carried out by the Come Back Alive Foundation, which handed over mobile repair stations for the restoration of HMMWV armored vehicles to the military.
