The Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian supporter who was adjusting missile strikes in the Zaporizhzhia region and was awaiting the occupation of the region.

The SSU reported on this.

According to the investigation, the detainee is a church chorister and the wife of a pastor of a local UOC-MP church (Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate). She passed on the coordinates of possible locations for the Ukrainian Defense Forces near the regional center to the Russian secret service.

The enemy was interested in temporary deployment points of the Armed Forces units involved in the counteroffensive on the Berdiansk and Melitopol directions.

SSU officers managed to establish the suspect’s place of residence and detained her in her own home in a village near Zaporizhzhia.

The investigation established that the detainee supported the actions of the Russian invaders from the very beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. She hoped that the Russian military would be able to capture the entire southern region of Ukraine.

In addition, she kept constant contact with her acquaintances from Moscow, with whom she shared those views.

The detainee subsequently started tracking the locations of the personnel and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area.

She took the photos and videos with reference to the location on her own phone, which she used to send the information to her acquaintances.

The acquaintances from Moscow further passed the information to the Russian special services. During the searches at the detainee’s place of residence, a cell phone which she used to transmit classified information was discovered.

Militarnyi previously reported that the SSU counterintelligence conducted a special operation to detain an FSS agent in Odesa who was planning to carry out sabotage in the region.

According to the investigation, the detainee was actively engaged in self-promotion and intended to become a potential candidate for the People’s Deputy of Ukraine.

To implement this plan, the detainee joined a local NGO dealing with environmental issues and placed his political advertisements on several passenger buses running around the city.
