The U.S. Transportation Command has showcased the process of sending Bradley armoured fighting vehicles to Ukraine.

The shipment of the military equipment comes under the United States’ $2.85 billion military aid agreement announced earlier this year.

The published video features the loading of a batch of American fighting vehicles onto a ship at the port of Charleston in North Carolina.

Ukraine is to receive a total of 109 M2 Bradley fighting vehicles.

Currently, several weeks of training are organized for the Ukrainian military to master these American fighting vehicles in Germany.

As previously reported, it became known about the shipment of the first batch of Bradley fighting vehicles to Ukraine last month.

The U.S. Defense Visual Information Distribution Service reported about it on its official website.

According to the released footage, OSINT analysts concluded that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would probably receive a more advanced version of the Bradley fighting vehicle than expected.

Previously, Militarnyi reported that Ukraine would receive a more advanced and newer version, the M2A2 ODS-SA.

The M2 Bradley is the primary infantry fighting vehicle of the United States Army. It has been in production since 1981 by BAE Systems. The Bradley is armed with an M242 Bushmaster 25mm autocannon. The equipped ammunition is 300 rounds, while the transported ammunition is 600 rounds. The IFV’s arsenal also includes armor-piercing, sub-caliber, and high-explosive ammunition. Besides, Bradley has a TOW ATGM launcher. The additional armament consists of the M240C machine gun.

The weight of the M2A2 ODS-SA amounts to 34,250 kg. The vehicle is driven by a 600-horsepower engine. It can develop a speed of up to 61 km/h. The IFV is able to pass trenches up to 2.5 m wide and overcome obstacles up to 0.9 m high.

As previously reported, Ukraine is to receive 109 M2 Bradley IFVs. These deliveries were announced as part of two military aid packages in 2023.
